Re: Guys that take ex hookers to their home country.
How about this dilemma .. a 60 y.o.guy came here to die ( cancer ) 10+ years ago ,
had an accident ( baby ) 5 years later .
Now the child is 5 years old , the guy is 70 years old , still dying , but has a 5 year old motherless child .
Dilemma being ,, should ,( can ? ) he find a godmother in cambodia ,
or go thru the huge process of reporting a birth abroad
and moving ( shuddering that thought ) of moving the little bugger to USA
[ no perspective relatives available to adopt the bugger )

Ouch.
Poor kid. Is mom in the picture?
No random Khmer that I know of would be a god parent without having some kind of relationship with the kid or money.
Does the guy have a big enough life insurance policy? Maybe someone back in the States would be willing to raise the kid (for a stipend of course) until the child grows up.
It’s been ten years already. Maybe he’s cured of cancer by now?
Good luck to him. I hope things work out.

should have gotten the little bugger his passport years ago, even if he had NO intention of every taking him there>pissontheroof wrote: ↑Mon Jun 13, 2022 8:37 am How about this dilemma .. a 60 y.o.guy came here to die ( cancer ) 10+ years ago ,

filing a report of birth abroad is not a huge process.
so the kid has no family but this one 70 year old? surely there must be someone?
wow, not to sound uncaring, but that sucks
IF he registered as the kids dad at the embassy and on the BC, the kid should have been getting ss $$ since his birth
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

Disagree. If you love someone, then it is not "high maintenance" to care for them and hope they will flourish. It's just what you do, because you want to, and that makes you both happy.newkidontheblock wrote: ↑Sun Jun 12, 2022 2:42 am In general, love is always high maintenance. Must be watered and nourished by each other everyday, or will wilt away like a rose.

Hope hope is why you see the futile wwjd. It’s heavy ..
He was born in sihanoukville so m’lop tapang may be an option ,
He will have a bank account when the father kicks it but won’t be able to get cambo rights into it until age 14
Yes , the life insurance will be his with whatever it takes to get that
paperwork settled with the embassy along with the report of the birth abroad .
which is not an easy process with absent mother , who is illiterate in jungle brain fk’d from ice .
She has 5 other ( fatherless kids 4 are in orphanages .. she don’t like barangs .
should have gotten the little bugger his passport years ago,
( not as easily said than done , even if he had NO intention of every taking him there>
Was lazy to do anything traveling during the pandemic
filing a report of birth abroad is not a huge process. — I don’t remember it being hard in thailand
but here - it is many pages , It might not be the same But has to be done ,
so the kid has no family but this one 70 year old? Not blood in cambodia , the mother didn’t die ,
she is just not fit and does not care .. if the little boy was a little girl there wouldn’t be the concern
Because for boys there .. surely there must be someone. ( that’s the dilemma —. ( ?)
wow, not to sound uncaring, but that sucks
It really does suck ..
IF he registered as the kids dad at the embassy and on the BC, the kid should have been getting ss $$ since his birth
The dad is on a good military ( disability )pension .. eligibile for SSI but not applied. still legally married to a thai girl
