Again, we can't read minds, and people like John Bingham who claim they are so sick of trolls want to walk out, they have every right to do so, even though I find it ironic he happily posts on the old forum who seem to make no effort to eliminate such trolls. To each their own though.

OTOH you mods said we are free to give negative karma against Trapper when we don't like something, but not one person has bothered on his latest incarnation, and when I tried to it wouldn't let me because I haven't accumulated 20 points myself. *shrug*

I wanted to give him negative karma but then I worried that he might be so childish that he'd create a thread complaining about receiving negative karma.

tbh, I think TOF has more trolls, just that some are conservative, so they are kosher, so to speak.

Seems anyone who supports the conservative, corporate controlled governments/ screw the poor, reduce funding of education and healthcare status quo is OK.

Those who speak against the status quo are labelled trolls.

I never understood why

cw was given his own cell thread, and then people who said they hated his posts kept going back for more.

Just me, but since I always use the "New Posts" button rather than visit subforums, all I see is that damn batshit thread always at the top. It gets really old, especially when there's little else to read or contribute to when you're always overshadowed with a monster thread like that.

Just an opinion, but it gives the impression that trolls/oddies run the show, and in terms of the views war it is the actual case.

just dont use new posts button, i skip lots of threads and posts everytime (sports, barnyard, cam culture, video entertainment most of the time), ur post abt cars are one of those great post that i read

Jb, I for one hope you reconsider leaving. Sure, we have had the odd run in over the years on both forums,shit happens and no hard feelings on my part. I would happily sit and have a few drinks with you, in fact I would very much like to one day! In my opinion you are a worthy forum member. Your posts are generally insightful and intelligent and you have a vast wealth of knowledge about Cambodia that will sorely be missed, by me at least. Yes, you can be a right cunt at times, but again imo, usually only when it called for.

Haha, very true! Actually, we just made that requirement, but maybe it should be lower, as it just needs to be high enough so that fuckwits who have no karma can't fuck with others.

And reporting is different than karma rating. We get notified of reports.

I still need to post some details of the latest tweaks we've made to the system, and even get some feedback (heaven help me) on the tweaks.

You, of all people, don't understand it? Hmmmm. I always find it embarrassing for you when you always end up back on the old forum. You, of all people, get treated like real dog shit over there quite often, and have seemingly wised up a few times, declaring you will no longer go back on there and support them, but always end up crawling back. I mean, they get real personal with you, talking about your jobs, etc, and that's not just from trolls, but also members, admin and mods. I also only open with new posts,can skip ones that dont interest me ( alot more OTOF than here)
for many threads there not always in the right section.
