FOR SALE: Khmer440.com [SOLD!]

If you have something so weird, strange or off-topic to post and think it doesn't belong in any other forum; you're probably right. Please put all your gormless, half-baked, inane, glaikit ideas in here. This might also be a place where we throw threads that appear elsewhere that don't belong ANYWHERE end up, instead of having to flush them. FORUM RULES STILL APPLY.

2 sides to every story, and he's a MASTER at trying to make sure only his side is heard.
This. I really think what OD mentioned above is what made him want to sell it and "get out of the spotlight". He likes having the last word and only having his side of a story told but can't really do that anymore so there's no point in staying on. Plus, he drove away a lot of people with his attitude, which wasn't really healthy for the site in the long-run with new options available.

Anyways, they apparently agreed to sell 100% of the shares, so the site will technically be under completely new ownership. I wonder if the new owner will want to make him or herself publicly known or stay out of the limelight. He/she might have plans to completely revamp the site for a new target audience, or simply leave it as is. Time will tell...

Oh, and yes, his reaction is definitely infantile but in line with his general behaviour on K440.

Oh, calm down.

I assure you we've heard both sides of the story, including his and including the side that he got one of his current moderators banned for over a year.

This story has a lot more than just 2 sides, as I'm sure you're aware of, just as this sale will have several sides, no doubt.

You sure seem to think you speak on behalf of other people, LoL.
Nah it's a deduction stemming from the absence of reaction to the question raised by Violet about K440 sale, the posting content and bellicosity of those users towards K440 and the fact they apparently don't know about (or care enough to sign up to) CEO.

Plus, that was more to respond to your quip about who would announce it to K440.

KiR made it clear that the new owner's lower offer was chosen precisely because it would keep the K440 "spirit" (less the pissing contest, biting snark and unpredictability hopefully).

Maybe you haven't figured it out already, but he tried to rule with fear.

Fear of being banned and/or humiliated for asking questions he didn't like, disagreeing, etc.

Maybe you haven't noticed, but several people have been banned simply for signing up over here and being active on CEO.

Even Ali Baba admitted feeling like he had to walk on egg shells in order to stay on KiR's good side and be able to post over here too.

There are likely many more people that would like to sign up on CEO and post or even just air their opinions on K440, but are too scared of the repercussions from KiR.

Again, everyone both here and there benefit with him out of the picture.

A lot has been said about the admin/mod team at both CEO and K440 lately, yet in almost 3 months not a single person has called him a friend and given him a character reference. Not even a "he's ok" or "he's alright when you get to know him."

Nothing like that in almost 3 months. Not by anyone, and he supposedly has "friends" here. That should tell you the kind of person we've been dealing with through all this.

Even AiA called me cool. Damn!

Again, better for everyone with him gone. Ironically again, K440 is the one that will benefit the most with him gone, LoL.

Who has been banned from 440 for signing up or being active on CEO?

Oh God, we're not going through this again with you, LoL.

Should I have said "deactivated" instead?
