Re: Differentiating CEO from something else
Joon, you are setting a pretty high bar (add all the puns you can think of!) with your new avatar.Joon wrote:Sorry you feel that way, NB, but maybe if you get the same kind of responses here and somewhere else, maybe that has more to do with your posting style and the substance of your posts.
As the General noted, if you're feeling unjustly abused, report the posts.
Love it!

Part of my silly social experiment. Plus, I was tired of having a girl crush on Ali Baba's avatar.

Just don't raise any bars so high that I can't reach my drink....

Don't worry, I'll lower it soon

I like to pride myself in being someone who will listen to others point of view, even if that view totally opposes mine. I think that this is a good and mature way to think and respond. It has proven, over time, to correct some of my own thinking and I will be honest, has altered my perspective on more than one occasion.nightmare.believer wrote:This site should be a kinder, gentler version of something else. Don't be an asshole, don't be a dickhead, don't (TRY TO) be funny if you are just half amusing and working on a premise of stupid puns are amusing to other readers. I believed in this site, and have spent time putting up content in the belief that I wouldn't be told to fuck off for asking about something or made to feel like an asshole. But this site has turned into a shadow of something else rather than something better than it, which it surely should become. What do you want to be: derivative or unique?
If I am honest and I really do not agree with your comments. I have back to read some of your posts and, well to be honest, there seems to be little of real merit, IMHO. This however, is just my opinion and I totally respect that you have yours. I do not agree but that does not mean I am right and you are wrong and those two, that Dragon and his military attaché, well they must dis-agree with me OR dis-agree with you, as we are polarised on many points.
There in lies what is different about this forum, compared to another 'similar brand' Here neither of us have been banned, neither of us are publicly ridiculed and as far as I am aware our PM's have not been read or deleted.
A forum is a community, albeit an on-line community. It is not two people, it is everyone working to develop it. There will be occasions we do not agree but it is how we overcome these differences that matters. Be part of the positive development, not part of the destruction.
I look forward to your witty retort

Joon, I genuinely do not give a rats arse about your gender (as discussed, ad-nausea) but when you lower your façade, please do not turn out to be a 67 year old bus driver, from Scunthorpe.Joon wrote:Don't worry, I'll lower it soon

But you can fight them, with your weapons of wit and logic, fight the good fight and maintain the standards, to which you aspire!Username Taken wrote:Tend to agree, somewhat. Now, sit back and watch them attack.
