Didn't get past the first 5 mins but enough to know this isn't about Cambodia and doesn't belong in 'General Chatter'.

In view of some of the reply posts, I think it belongs in something more appropriate..hence moved to 'Asinine'.

Yes, I watched it yesterday and find the message quite believable and disturbing.

I wondered whether we should start a new thread to get some discussion up and running, but then I thought "why bother? the usual suspects will come along sprouting the usual 'conspiracy theory' diversions which in turn makes others afraid to speak in support of the claims for fear of being ridiculed."

Anyone who believes that the haste to get everyone worldwide vaccinated was not a bit suspect surely lacks critical thinking ability.
Why do the negative posts on page 1 mention anti-vaxxers. It's not about anti-vaxxing, it asks questions that need to be asked about the effects that the rushed vaccines have had on people to date.

Ever noticed that it's always the same people who jump into these sort of 'discussions' *cough* just to post their negative views and throw around words like conspiracy theory, tin-foil hat, etc.

When the virus first hit Wuhan the whole world saw it overwhelm their hospitals and morgues, not long later it was doing the same thing in Italy. It quickly became obvious this virus was spreading fast and aside from trying to slow the spread we had no tools to fight it.

I'm not sure how anyone could think that the vaccine that made people less transmissible, and gave the general public a very good chance of not needing hospital treatment when they eventually were exposed to it wasn't urgently needed.

An old friend of mine who is a paramedic called me over a year ago ranting about how anyone who took the vaccine would die a year after. Needless to say nobody died but the lunatic fringe groups still peddle this nonsense.

You’ll get drowned out by the vast majority of sheeple/deluded/ignorant members who believe it is all a bunch of utter nonsense and long for the days pre Covid where all these people suffering cognitive bias were on the fringes of society not bothering anyone apart from their own friends and the neighbors dog.

Did you notice that it's the same people who believe these conspiracies who also post about "Let's go Brandon", "Check the laptop", "Lock her up" and Pizza-gate?

It doesn't bear up to any scrutiny.

The film flashes through dozens of upsetting news reports and images of people collapsing.

One headline reads: "My kind, compassionate son died unexpectedly." Another clip shows a young athlete dramatically keeling over.

Together, this can easily be used to paint an alarming picture of something suspicious going on.

Yet just a couple more clicks would reveal the son in question died in a car crash. And the athlete, college basketball player Keyontae Johnson, collapsed in December 2020 before he could even have had a Covid vaccine. He didn't die suddenly as the title suggests - he returned to the court last week.

Other people featured are also still alive. And several of the genuine deaths are explained by an alternative cause within the very news reports used as evidence by the film makers.

In general, the film is a mish-mosh of clips, audio bytes, interviews, and other things often taken completely out of context and cooked together like a gigantic conspiracy theory frittata. For example, early in the film, actor Tom Hanks can be seen on the Today Show talking about Malthusian Theory, which is the belief that the world’s population is growing at a rate far outpacing the growth of the food supply. This wouldn’t be good news for anyone that has to eat and apparently provides the rationale for why the “elite” may want to depopulate the world, although the film didn’t show Hanks going on to say something like, “and that, kids, is why the world needs to be depopulated.” Heck these days with some video editing software and a bunch of film clips that you could splice together you could make it look like anyone is saying anything like Bella Hadid or Jason Momoa telling you how sexy you are.

Many anonymous accounts on Twitter have been pushing this film, similar to how the anti-vaccination films Vaxxed and Plandemic were previously pushed on social media..
