Conspiracy Theories (FLERF)

If you have something so weird, strange or off-topic to post and think it doesn't belong in any other forum; you're probably right. Please put all your gormless, half-baked, inane, glaikit ideas in here. This might also be a place where we throw threads that appear elsewhere that don't belong ANYWHERE end up, instead of having to flush them. FORUM RULES STILL APPLY.

Conspiracy Theories (FLERF)

Post by thePeck »

Has anyone noticed a increase in FLERF'er people in KOW? I know several in Thailand and some where coming over. There's a prominent one on YouTube by the name of Phuket Word. I swear I meet him a couple months back but doubt it was him.

He was "seeing" an occasional acquaintance of my wife. She always turns up when she wants to show off. Well anyway he promised to marry her and buy her a house blah blah blah. So we took them to a development outside PP. As we were walking he looked up to the sky and had a chuckle. He said, "look at that, the moon and sun are out and they say the phases of the moon are reflections of the sun off the earth...." he said some more but I just zoned out as I gave him this confused astonished look. And I thought to myself, my god he's a god damn FLERF'er. After the whole thing we went back to our house and they stayed for awhile. He made some more FE comments and I just kept my mouth shut so I didn't bust out laughing calling him an idiot. So he went outside to smoke and I turned on a space documentary and left the room. So he'd come back and have to watch video of the earth being round. By the time I came back they left.

Of course he didn't do anything he said to this girl and buggered back to Thailand and back to his Thai gf.

Never met one person yet who believes that the earth is flat.

Anyhow, the call for eugenics is a bit extreme.

A bit of a laugh at their expense is enough.

It's not like they are members of some weird cult that worships imaginary people in the sky.

No-one has ever given me a credible reason as to why a flat earth would be kept secret. Who would benefit by telling everyone the earth was round if it was flat?

Conspiracy theories usually come in two parts. The theory itself and the reason for said theory. Flat earthers seem to be missing half of their conspiracy.
The difference between animals and humans is that animals would never allow the dumb ones to lead the pack.

Trust me, I thought about that when I was typing it. I was wondering if people would get confused. I was confused before when i first looked it up myself. I meant it to me as flat earthers before I found that definition.

I find them quite hilarious because almost always they get basic science wrong and think it proves their point. Like this guy that said the phases of the moon were caused by the earth. I was literally looking at the moon and the phase it was in was the exactly what you'd expect as the sun was sitting towards that side.

What I find dangerous is if they teach this is less than educated locals they'll start to believe it. I see my older daughters science book and they just barely touch on space science and physics. Which is fine but what about the people that never went to school.

Meh, I've watched so many debates on YouTube over the years. Somehow I got on the strange side of YouTube and it's never left my recommended feed.
