^ wasn't it a model of bomber that looked great to start with, but then carpet bombed the crap out of anyone that failed to impress the regime? I heard it's been retrofitted with stealth mode and better targeting...

Re: CEO and Khmer440 reach a GENTLEMEN'S AGREEMENT!
So, in your opinion, anyone who hasn't donated to a charity (such as Somaly Mam Foundation or APLE or SHISHA or the Save the Flying Chicken From His Own Behavior Fund) has any right to make negative comments about the behavior of that charitable organization or the behavior of the recipients of those donated funds? Really?StroppyChops wrote: Here's a little suggestion - if you aren't one of those that gave dollar to support FC's wife and kid (no judgement if you didn't or couldn't, it's a personal call) then you don't have the right to comment on the dollar next time he self medicates for the pain. I'm willing to bet that those who did have already accepted that he'll go in a bender again at some point but won't beat him over the head about needing a little help from his friends. Putting it another way - true charity (and especially other people's charity) doesn't come with your strings or criticism.
Now that you know FC is already planning to spend some of those funds on alcohol, YOU and the other donors are the ones who have no right to criticize him for "self-medicating" like that. I retain my right to criticize anyone who behaves so utterly irresponsibly.

No, those are your words. I didn't say that.Soi Dog wrote:So, in your opinion, anyone who hasn't donated to a charity (such as Somaly Mam Foundation or APLE or SHISHA or the Save the Flying Chicken From His Own Behavior Fund) has any right to make negative comments about the behavior of that charitable organization or the behavior of the recipients of those donated funds?
Truly.Really?
And my stated point was that "I and the other donors" have probably already assumed that position - so it seems we agree on this. Now that you know FC is already planning to spend some of those funds on alcohol, YOU and the other donors are the ones who have no right to criticize him for "self-medicating" like that.
So what do you need, for me to agree with you?I retain my right to criticize anyone who behaves so utterly irresponsibly.
Frankly people who sit and lob grenades while others try to make a difference, no matter how imperfectly, give me the shits.

ur putting a band aid on a major cut.
he needs to get his shit together
he needs to get his shit together
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

from the sound of it, he's working on that.phuketrichard wrote:ur putting a band aid on a major cut.

this is just to help him get his head above water long enough to catch his breath and be ABLE to get his shit together. sick kid, no cash, behind on everything... hard to recover from that alone. without the family it's easier, a single guy can go pretty far down and still stand up... but it's harder with a family to lift up with you.
and given that much stress, a man could use a few cheap brews to help him to get to sleep at night instead of laying there thinking and worrying about shit.
[he just shouldn't post after he's had them ]

Many thanks

Ummm...re-read the part of your quote that I intentionally underlined. That is exactly what you implied.StroppyChops wrote:No, those are your words. I bet Somaly Mam and Steve Morrish would agree with your point of view. Anyone critical of them probably "give them the shits" too.Frankly people who sit and lob grenades while others try to make a difference, no matter how imperfectly, give me the shits.

As for the Chick: good luck to you, pal. Hope you soon bounce back.

Maybe, but it has fuck all to do with the original post at this point. I don't know how FC's plight got in this thread.LTO wrote:This thread has legs.
