CEO and Khmer440 reach a GENTLEMEN'S AGREEMENT!

If you have something so weird, strange or off-topic to post and think it doesn't belong in any other forum; you're probably right. Please put all your gormless, half-baked, inane, glaikit ideas in here. This might also be a place where we throw threads that appear elsewhere that don't belong ANYWHERE end up, instead of having to flush them. FORUM RULES STILL APPLY.

Haha ---- The only thing more embarrassing than coming from a country that elected George Dubya Bush President (Twice at least in theory) ..... is coming from a country whose Prime Minister was routinely referred to as "Bush's Poodle"

9. The cold, tasteless stuff you insist on calling beer is not actually beer at all. Henceforth, only proper British Bitter will be referred to as beer, and European brews of known and accepted provenance will be referred to as Lager. South African beer is also acceptable, as they are pound for pound the greatest sporting nation on earth and it can only be due to the beer. They are also part of the British Commonwealth - see what it did for them. American brands will be referred to as Near-Frozen Gnat's Urine, so that all can be sold without risk of further confusion.

Hehehe --- reminds me of my one and only trip to London. Was there on business but knew the guys well. They wanted to take me out on that well honored English Tradition of getting their guest piss drunk before getting into any real negotiations. Took me to their favorite pub and insisted on ordering for me. I was then presented with a jug of that fecal colored, piss warm, jizz topped beverage you guys call "Ale". Obviously a wind up as they eagerly awaited my reaction. I take a sip, grimace and groan --- looked at the surly bartender and said in my most exaggerated red neck accent "Your beer is warm!" ---- giggles all around, the bartender glares at me with that look of disdain reserved for only the most ignorant of tourists ---- and I am officially a "Yank in London".

Seriously though I could only handle two pints of that stuff (cannot recall what it was but made Guinness feel like Budweiser.) I had to step down down to Kilkenny after two pints. No idea how your stomachs handle it.

Not a good idea!
This should be phased in over a few days. Perhaps those with number plates ending in odd numbers could drive on the left on odd numbered days, and those with number plates ending in even numbers drive on the left on even numbered days.

And it's not "French Fries" by the way --- it is "Freedom Fries" according to our bastion of Journalistic Integrity --- Fox News.

Something to do with French Reluctance to support our noble efforts to bring freedom, peace, and democracy to the people of Iraq while at the same time generously assisting them to build up their oil industry infrastructure..

Also our baseball league has a team in Toronto and once had in one in Montreal. Montreal did not work out so well ---- something about those French Canadians confusing baseballs with hockey pucks and heavy competition with that Canadian sporting institution known as "curling" . I mean how do you compete with two guys on skates dusting Ice with small brooms --- the thrill! the drama!

Granted Canada may not qualify as "World" (as in World Series) but it's not officially part of the USA ---- yet anyway --- and I will happily chose an Ice Cold Molsen export over anything the USA or UK has to offer.

<sarc> in case of any doubt ---- except for the Molsen part --- damn -- I miss that beer.

I'm pretty sure we were a part of the USA from the 1950's up until 2001 when we got cut off.

Needing a Passport to go to Buffalo, WTF?

I used to own a 2nd home in Florida since 1980. Sold it before the crash.

I had tons of travel points that could only be spent at the Hyatt.

Free rooms, meals, booze or fly to Key West.

I haven't been back since 2001.

Not back since 2003 for me --- and it's my own country.

I see enough of it on TV. Too much infact.

When I was staying in Florida in West Palm Beach, I could not get over how F'n insular everybody was. Even my Aunt Peggy. Ask anyone for directions to Major Dept. or Grocery stores, not a clue. Later to discover that it was 1 Block away. OMG.

Worldliness? Nothing. Nice people for sure but not very Curious. Favourite white wine, Cha-Bliss. haha
