Award formula is complicated.
Number of year person’s life is shortened by the cancer times yearly earning potential, plus cost to treat cancer, biggest plus - emotional pain and suffering cost.
She was having sex in a top of the line car when she got HPV, so assume she is a high earner herself. Most people don’t have almost 6 million to give away.
Of note, the arbitration judge ruled that the man was at fault, not the car insurance company.
She refused arbitration and went to the courts to sue the company.
