Ha! I very much doubt JB's "desperate" to control the forum. He's just been around long enough to know when someone is becoming a pain in the ass by over posting to the point of it affecting the user experience of others. JB's been a member of this and other forums for years and earned a considerable amount of respect during that time.TOG wrote: ↑Sat Nov 03, 2018 4:07 amAbsolutely agree. Not everyone sees the the world from the same prism as you. Maybe we should rename this forum as John Bingham’s CEO?John Bingham wrote:I only ever give them when someone makes a dumb as fuck post that adds nothing but idiocy to the mix
If JB is saying it, you can be sure many are thinking it.

One needs to take the circumstances in consideration. A flood of postings within a very short time. All posts sound very familiar, including the replies to criticism. No surprise almost anyone agrees that we see the resurrection of somebody well-known and happily departed from here. That's one.
Secondly, this is no a free-speech space as such. It is owned by a person or private company and thus privileges that were granted can be taken back. In the end it is a balancing act to keep or remove the resurrected one or not. My take is that from a economic point of view he will cost more traffic than he generates. So thumb down and let it be a warning. We did well here on Monday. So not a bad point to return too.

Who is "the resurrected one"?
I'm pretty sure his previous handle doesn't start with a 'v' or 'tg'.

Says the guy that has been a registered member of this forum for 100 days and posts mostly about how other people aren't meeting his expectations of how people should behave on a forum.TOG wrote:Absolutely agree. Being around a long time is often the problem, you become set in your opinions and not open to different views. Newcomer or old timer, everyone has an opinion. Toxics post are often toxic but you can easily ignore him rather than wage a vendetta.Kung-fu Hillbilly wrote: ↑Sat Nov 03, 2018 4:54 amHa! I very much doubt JB's "desperate" to control the forum. Stroppy has been around a long time but he was driven into a holiday break by members which is a loss to the forum.
Hey, what do I know, I am still on morphene, laying in a bed surrounded by people moaning in pain and grumpy as hell.

Sorry, is there a rule tha says you have to be around a set time to have an opinion? That is one stupid post but it is your opinion and you are fully entitled to it as is everyone else.epidemiks wrote: ↑Sat Nov 03, 2018 1:50 pmSays the guy that has been a registered member of this forum for 100 days and posts mostly about how other people aren't meeting his expectations of how people should behave on a forum.TOG wrote:Absolutely agree. Sorry for being harsh but the forum probably has higher priorities than to satisfy a new loud minority who doesn’t like the way the place has run since day 1. You can have your opinion it’s just that people may not really care...

No, there is no time limit, but whining about changes you require from a community you're barely a member of is about as arrogant as it gets.TOG wrote:Sorry, is there a rule tha says you have to be around a set time to have an opinion? We heard opinion of each. Maybe no need to put another coin in the machine.

Yeah, we should be more open to "different" views such as your whinging about people being mean about your president and bitching that the forum doesn't live up to your expectations . Those are revolutionary ideas, you are just too original and free-thinking for this forum. Maybe you should sign up to www.headupmyassforums.khTOG wrote: ↑Sat Nov 03, 2018 1:57 pmBeing around a long time is often the problem, you become set in your opinions and not open to different views.
