Can we talk about Khmer440 here? No Joke Howard, K440?!!?

If you have something so weird, strange or off-topic to post and think it doesn't belong in any other forum; you're probably right. Please put all your gormless, half-baked, inane, glaikit ideas in here. This might also be a place where we throw threads that appear elsewhere that don't belong ANYWHERE end up, instead of having to flush them. FORUM RULES STILL APPLY.

i never pre judge people before actually meeting them in person, the internet is not an accurate way of judging someone and i always like to make my own opinions of people,
but tbh after seeing this video, im not too fussed about meeting him in person anymore, he comes off really bad, if i ever saw him on a night out id go over and become acquainted to see what hes like in real life, as i get along with most people, but i wouldnt go out my way anymore..

I enjoyed yesterday's visit to the crab market at Kep - 4 minutes to say; "I don't give a fuck about the locals and there are some crabs and prawns here." an exercise in brevity and intelligence it is not.

It's a tough choice between reading my Nietzsche for the day or watching this guy.

Tough choice?
Nah, you can do both, now that you've got plenty of time on your hands.

I've managed to watch this diatribe for 4 whole minutes. Excruciating. This guy has utter contempt for Cambodians and I'm wondering why he's even here.

A defining moment in his videos for me is when he yells at machinery to "shut the fuck up".

The cannabis expert couldn't tell the difference between tobacco and grass if his life depended on it.

Bless... he looks positively distraught about handing over a "few hundred Riel" - times must be tough for Mr. No Joke.

I think if you could see through the BS, many expats would express similar, or worse sentiments.

Would they? I'm not convinced. I know plenty of expat fuck ups but even they're very "at ease" with local culture. There are things, in every culture, that drive you mad but... fingernails and pyjamas? Not so much, I think.

I feel sorry for No Joke Howard (though it won't stop me taking the piss out of him either). He's lost. He's been lost his whole life. No-one cares about him; look at his YouTube hits... they're in the 10s. I could hire more people to watch my videos than No Joke has managed. And I would if I hoped to make my living from YouTube advertising... critical mass is everything online now.

I've watched his videos, he veers from culture shock to cock and back again. Even his "mate" wouldn't say "hi" in his last video. I don't know anyone that lonely even here in Cambodia and it can be fucking lonely as an expat. I hope he thrives, I don't think he means to miss the mark - I think he has no idea where it is. But I don't know anyone at all in that boat and there are plenty of annoying and low rent characters in Siem Reap and Phnom Penh to gauge that against.
