Beware of Cambodia!

If you have something so weird, strange or off-topic to post and think it doesn't belong in any other forum; you're probably right. Please put all your gormless, half-baked, inane, glaikit ideas in here. This might also be a place where we throw threads that appear elsewhere that don't belong ANYWHERE end up, instead of having to flush them. FORUM RULES STILL APPLY.

I'm not a fan of over-modding. But I am a fan of when the "board" see through buffoons who are intent on destroying what should be a (relatively) harmonious collective of like-minded people. BB and Warning have endeavoured to ruin things of late, by being inflammatory and inducing arguments with shallow and glib statements, designed to create discord. We all love a difference of opinion, who wouldn't? @John Bingham and I banged heads, a long time ago about dogs and poison. I got a warning from the Mods, (I suspect JB did too), but in the end it remained civil. The Mods were right, name-calling took it a little too far.

@SternAAlbifrons and I have been speculating about who's sock these guys are. We remain none the wiser, and it remains speculation.

I suppose my point, more than anything, is that "genuine" members of CEO engage in a way that encourages healthy discussion and debate. There is no cabal of members that will try and belittle you, or crowd you out of discussion.

So, I thank you Mods. I don't always agree with you. But on this one, the ends justify the means.

Well said, Yerg!!! ^^^

To be honest - BB and his ilk do not worry me as much as some of the others.
You can have a bit of fun with the straight-out loonie provocateurs like this
- for a short time. (only!)

It is the sleazy ones that are the worst.
I got sucked in badly by the infamous Ricky Bobbie when i first joined CEO (less than a year ago)
I thought he was one of that brand of genuinely, incredibly naive Americans who cannot imagine anything outside their own narrow little mental and moral framework. So i patiently and reasonably tried to provide a more "expanded" view on the world, to help him wise-up a bit.
Before realising he was pure evil.

Socks like this, and Seawolf etc practice a particularly twisted kind of betrayal - drawing out peoples inner thoughts and emotions by deception.
I am a well known peacenik, but to a point only - i would seriously punch these guys on the nose if i ever ran into one on the street.

^^^ You didn't miss much Pczzzy - the Brazilian sock job just got unceremoniously murdered.
Nothing exciting, just his usual one-dimensional abuse and Clutch decided it was time for the chop
- to a rousing applause all 'round.

It was a lively thread...

The sock wash was successful... Somehow the air feel cleaner...

Personally, I like lively stuff that challenges the narrative, with examples of everyday living - ones that cause a person to think and become a better person.

That particular hit piece by an obvious wack job doesn't help anyone here, or their families, or our friends or Cambodia.

TheWarning wrote: Thu Feb 27, 2020 1:16 pm This is a Warning to all Tourists and a Question to the Cambodians.

Cambodia is full of thieves, even if you take care of your stuff, cambodians will find a way to steal it from you.
The Police is corrupt as f**k and wont help you no matter what.

But the worst part is, it seems like these thieves are social accepted by the majority of the cambodian people.

To all peopel out there, if you want to spend your time in an asian country, PLEASE go somewhere else. This Country and the people here dont deserve your money.

They have no honor and blame their government for their own faults.

My Question is, why the cambodians are social accepting these thieves and have no honor?
A thief is still a thief even if he hasn't stolen anything yet.
