No No's Around the world

If you have something so weird, strange or off-topic to post and think it doesn't belong in any other forum; you're probably right. Please put all your gormless, half-baked, inane, glaikit ideas in here. This might also be a place where we throw threads that appear elsewhere that don't belong ANYWHERE end up, instead of having to flush them. FORUM RULES STILL APPLY.

No No's Around the world

Post by Anchor Moy »

Lots of useful information for travelers :?: What not to do when abroad.Every country has it's "no no's".
My favourite:
When in Germany: Never do the Nazi salute.
Umm, yeah, it's for DM readers. (And "don't talk about the war". )

"No mooning" in Greece has a mention, but they forgot to say "Don't get naked on sacred sites."
And don't then post your pics on FB.

When in england the head of a pint of beer should never be more than 2 fingers or you will get an angry customer demanding it be topped up!

They're fine with that in Bangladesh.

And in Somalia, it's impolite not to swallow.

It's probably quite rude to ask when Greece will pay its debts in Athens today... these things have a habit of changing over time anyway.

Don't fall asleep whilst Kim, Jong-Un is making a speech.

Do not rub his beautiful belly for good luck either.

Also, there seems to be a bit of animosity towards wife-beaters and/or singlets on CEO.
Would it be more acceptable in Cambodia if one wore a wife-beater AND if one were to sport a man ponytail too?

Naughty user names on Cambodian forums...

Do NOT use the 'K' word in South Africa.

Or do, if you feel so inclined, too many people on the planet anyway.
