Are you good in bed ?

If you have something so weird, strange or off-topic to post and think it doesn't belong in any other forum; you're probably right. Please put all your gormless, half-baked, inane, glaikit ideas in here. This might also be a place where we throw threads that appear elsewhere that don't belong ANYWHERE end up, instead of having to flush them. FORUM RULES STILL APPLY.

why sorry? You actually didn't misunderstand it. It wasn't about sexual intercourse at all. It is about sleeping. Remember Ducan really likes :stir:
I not really understand this thread... I don't know what the difference between the word in bed, on bed and sleep. I thought it wasn't about sex that was I tried the app. %)

^^Being "good in bed" means one is good at sex.

If you say something like "I am in bed." or "I'm going to get in bed." or "I'm going to bed.", then there's nothing sexual about it

Yeah, it's complicated to recognize the difference between things like "is your bed ok?" and "are you good in bed?" - or "my bed is great, thanks" and "yes, I'm good in bed".
Lots of expressions like this are code-words for sex and not easily identifiable for people learning English as a second language.
But, these are things you need to know so there are no misunderstandings.

Little Salary, you are learning the hard way what to say and what not to say. Good for you. :thumb:

It is okay to make mistake. Note that it is not our mother tongue. I think you have already tried all your best to comprehend it. I am glad that you didn't upset and have no more courage to post here. :beer2:

I was surprised to learn,

that to say, "knock up" in Britain was different than in Canada*

1. Derogatory Slang To make pregnant.* [ie: "I'd like to knock Her up." meant simply "I'd like to have sex with Her."]
2. Chiefly British To wake up or summon, as by knocking at the door.
3. Chiefly British To wear out; exhaust.

At one time it was taboo to say "pregnant". So euphemisms like "bun in the oven" or "carrying a child" were used.

It's easy to correct mistakes, by laughing, If you get everyone to laugh,

Then it's not a mistake , it's a joke.
