American's List Of Observations About England

If you have something so weird, strange or off-topic to post and think it doesn't belong in any other forum; you're probably right. Please put all your gormless, half-baked, inane, glaikit ideas in here. This might also be a place where we throw threads that appear elsewhere that don't belong ANYWHERE end up, instead of having to flush them. FORUM RULES STILL APPLY.

What I'm saying is that for the most part the Christian religion has gotten out of the 13th century where Islam has not. In my country, church and state are suppose to be separate, but its a very difficult thing to do, but at least all religions are welcome. Go to the Islamic paradise of Saudi Arabia and try and set up a church or preach. Can you say beheading? Most civilized countries have gotten away from the 13th century laws enforced in Islamic countries today. Look at the shithole countries in the world were you wouldn't want to live and a whole bunch of them are Islamic. I'm not a Christian or a follower of Islam, but I hold a lot a values as stated in the Christian Bible. As to Islam, no way!!
i do have to agree with you there mate, good point :) :thumb:

That was a great list - bought back many memories from the time between 94 & 97 when I lived just north of London.

There is no A/C - LOL, it used to amuse me that most summers actually got hot but nobody seemed to figure out that you needed to open the windows on public transport.

In winter it was dark when I got to work and dark when I went home from work - I really don't miss that. Also, the in winter it looked like some kind of apocalypse had occurred with the gloomy grey skies and almost all the trees leafless and looking lifeless.

Gotta say though, summertime was great.

The water controls in showers need detailed instructions - yep, I once stayed with a family near St Albans and the wife proudly told me that they had a 'power shower', once I'd figured it out, I soon realised that they didn't have a 'power drain' to match. It quickly filled the basin of the shower and I had to turn it off so it could catch up. She was mortified when I said 'you don't have a power drain'.

Check out the pictures (on line) of youthful Berry (Obama-Iben-Lying) in Muslin garb. Also check out the pictures of Obama's "father" and the radical that the mother was boffing at the time. Which guy does Obama-Iben-Lying look like? (hint, It isn't his "dad.")

If a tree falls in the forest and no one hears it, is it still Obama's fault in a redneck's opinion?

Vlad: I find the term "redneck" offensive and has no place on this forum. Why don't you tell me what pisspot little country you are from so I can name call you and your people.(no guts! Can dish it out, but can't take the heat?)

As to Obama-Iben-Lying, I would apologize to the rest of the world for him, but I didn't vote for him (twice.) At least he will be gone next year and part of the nightmare will be over, but old Hillary is waiting in the wings. (God or Gods help us!)
