18 January 2017. A foreign man, believed to be from the USA, was slightly injured by an exploding firework on Occheuteal beach last night around 9pm. He suffered from minor burns to his hands.

That guy needs to toughen up, looks like he lost an arm with that pose! Take a hint from the guy that got slashed nearly to death a couple of days back at the new roundabout. Not gonna post unedited pics but that was brutally nasty!

No idea how he did that, the fireworks on the beach are all pretty limp. The 20 shot launcher is about the only thing to do any potential damage, and you can't run round firing it at people

once i narrowly had an accident too, some tourists didnt buried it deep enough and didnt packed the sand tightly around it, so when it started going off the force knocked it down and instead of the fireworks going straight up, it went into the sittings nearby, luckily it was low season and it was almost finish so only a few rounds went into the sitting areas

Time they stopped that fucktardery.

A month and a half ago, a little kid was badly injured on Occheuteal and there was a police "clampdown" on the selling of fireworks which lasted about 48 hours.

i have enjoyed on numerous occasion the fun and enjoyment of setting of fireworks at the beach too, but i did it with much caution and soberness

Drunk people setting off fireworks, probably a good idea to stay well back I would have thought
