Thirty-two-year-old Thai Norak Pitou, who was the 2006 winner of talent show “Freshie Boy” and son of Culture and Fine Arts Ministry spokesperson Thai Norak Sathya, was arrested along with his wife, 27-year-old Aok Ratanak Ponika, and four other suspects while they were at a KTV parlor.
“We cooperated with the provincial police and raided the KTV parlor and arrested six suspects – two females and four males,” Battambang City police chief Pang Heang said.
The other suspects were identified as Heng Yusong, 24, Phea Bunheng, 32, Hab Sovath, 29, and Hun Mane, 29.
Mr. Heang said the KTV parlor was regularly used as a place to use and distribute drugs, adding that one of the detainees was also a shareholder of the parlor, but he was unsure which one it was.
