Friday night SEA bar special:
At 1.30am, on the morning of February 17, Pattaya police received reports of an assault at the Patsy Beer Bar on Soi 8, Beach Road, Pattaya.
There sixty-three-year old British tourist Mr David Lodge was receiving treatment for a facial injury.
Forty-three year old bar worker Rungnapha Pleumchai told officers that Mr Lodge had gone into her bar for a drink and when it came time to pay he complained that the cost of the beer was too expensive.
Ms Rungnapha claims that was the reason she became angry enough to hit Mr Lodge in the face with a shoe.
The woman has been arrested and, police say, will be charged with assault and causing serious injury.
A police spokesman said that the prosecution was necessary as incidents like this damage the good reputation of Pattaya as a tourist center and it is his duty to protect that image by ‘taking care of tourists.’

I think I heard her say 80 baht for the beer? That would be only 10/20 bahts over normal price not?
Any thai speaker got it better than I did?
Anyway what's up with these nasty stiletto attacks? It seems to be something we never heard of a few years ago.

Women have been getting away with that shit for years. I'm surprised you've just noticed. I saw a guy that looked like JL but much taller/ bigger in Bangkok a few years ago with the tiniest woman beating the shit out of him with her stiletto. Everyone was just laughing. It's a fucked up world.

80 Baht is pretty standard around most of them bars tbh in the evening anyway, cheaper in the day time

80 Baht is pretty standard around most of them bars tbh in the evening anyway, cheaper in the day time
Seems reasonable enough, bottle of normal beer is usually 2$ (70b) out here which is nearly twice the markup than Thailand also. No wonder so many people open bars in SHV!
