Inconsiderate neighbor
Time to time again my neighbor use our clothe and baby hangers without asking for our permission. Hanging their brars and underwears on my daughter's clothe hanger and shit, and leaving their dirty trash on our side. This morning, my wife just finished doing the washing but couldnt hang no clothes other than on the barb wire fence because our clothe hanger was moved to the neighbor's side filled with clothes. I should mention they are mixed couple, male is a westerner and wife is a local. They could afford frequent trip to other provinces and outside dining but not a 5 dollars clothes hanger? I am tempted to throw their off clothes over the fence and tell them to fuck off.

Re: Inconsiderate neighbor
I had a problem with the neighbor parking partially across our yard (once, fully across, blocking access) - my Khmer friends all told me it was necessary to make an issue out of it to earn respect, as being polite was just weak. Cultural difference. Problem mostly solved, turns out the neighbor really can't drive well enough to park straight in front of his own place. Also doesn't help that they have clothes racks permanently across half their frontage.

Re: Inconsiderate neighbor
I have always felt that it is important try to be friendly with neighbors. They are in a position to help you out a lot or cause you a lot of grief if they want. When you see them again, I might say something casually like "hey, I see you needed to borrow our clothes line the other day, I am on the way to the market to get another one, you want me to pick one up for you too. If not, just let us know when you need to use ours because my wife didn't have any place to hang the kids clothes after she washed them last time and got me in trouble." Keep it light and casual. The wife might have thought it was communal and went with the apartment for all you know.
I wish I knew a whole lot more, or a whole lot less.

Surely you jest. Communal = mine if it's not bolted down in this country, and you'd better weld the nut to the bolt. We were stocking our outside fish pond with large goldfish a while back and almost everyone warned us about the community nature of living in Cambodia.CaliforniaGuy wrote:communal

Re: Inconsiderate neighbor
Good advice so far. I guess the not happy look on my face werent enough of a hint. I am not prepare to carry a 1 meter by 1.5 meter clothes hanger on the motorbike where my daughter is sandwiched in between if they say yes please. But I get your point. Besides, my financial situation is as good as a nun's tits.

Re: Inconsiderate neighbor
when you take in your clothes, take in the HANGERS TOO. Damn. Am I not seeing something? Is the LINE on your property or what? But if they are YOUR hangers, take em IN, dang. Why be subtle to ppl who obviously don't give a fuck about anyone but themselves.

Why I should put unnecessary stuff in my already limited space room when there is more than enough space to put it outside? My side! Durr!
