The curious (?) fact is that idle US journalists swallow every word issued by the SPLC just
as though SPLC utterances were the Voice of God

The absurd references to wretched Albania are a joy to read!
In the post-communist era, immense numbers of Albanians were desperate to scramble onto anything
that more-or-less floated and head for Italy.
Albanians have since become notable gangsters throughout Western and Central Europe.
