BREXIT and subsequent events

Yeah, that place out 'there'. Anything not really Cambodia related should go here.

Actually, even Hove in Sussex has payday loaners, betting shops and a surprising number of excellent off-licenses.
But are they everywhere?

If you have not yet done so, watch this - all of it

I wonder how many of those who saw it were swayed by it

Good film. So why is the UK now in such turmoil if being out of the EU is supposedly so good?

Perhaps the film fails to show the full picture of the dynamics at work.

Why the turmoil?

1. Both big parties need new leaders - Cameron is a shallow PR man and Jezbollah is a posturing ninny.

Cameron's cutie charm was good until Youkay hit rough waters and Jezbollah never really had the confidence
of the Parliamentary Labour Party.

Even his position was an oddity - hence the absurdity of the
TORIES FOR CORBYN episode.

2. The markets panic if a sparrow farts. Shares up? House Prices? Gilts? Buy gold? Emigrate? Get an Irish passport?

A quote from Pitt the Younger (very slightly edited)

"England has saved herself by her exertions and ...will save Europe by her example"

On the ludicrous and preposterous TORIES FOR CORBYN story -

http://www.theguardian.com/politics/201 ... are_btn_tw

" For just three pounds you can help to destroy the Labour Party "

Trainee encyclopedia salesmen were taught to close with the heart-rending appeal:

"Isn't it worth it for your children's future?"

Which pretty well says it all about Jezbollah!

C'mon, be serious!

Before this mess, the Pound was doing ok, and set to rise if we stuck to the EU.

Now we face YEARS of a weak pound which will make travelling expensive/ and the rest!

A weak pound?

Sir Nigel of the Farage didn't miss the bastard Juncker or the rest of the undemocratic cunts.

Whatever your opinion on the Brexit vote, objectively the Brexit and the fall of the pound is not good for Cambodian expats who get their income from the UK. This will also affect expats everywhere who are paid in pounds.
Whatever the eventual outcome, currency fluctuations are always more difficult for the lower income bracket. Expect more poor Brits on the streets of Cambodia.

However, if you are an expat who is paid in $US, then thanks to Brexit, you will have more pounds to the dollar when you return to the UK.

Totally agree.
I would also suggest the casino Forex mob are a breed apart with fairly minimal objectives.
