The Comedy Club Cambodia #35

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Hello you. We missed you big big. Let’s do it all again. It was so funny last time.
The Comedy Club Cambodia has booked up its notoriously side-splitting national tour for June, with a Phnom Penh stop at Show Box marked down for Friday June 24!
We’re cock-a-hoop (it’s an old phrase meaning happy, you perverts) to have New York-based British comic legend Will Mars headlining our gigs. You better not hate yourself by missing him.
Sensational support will come from the mighty Sam Thomas (US) and Lune Dy (VIE/CAM), with Scottish stand up Steven Halcrow taking the reigns as MC. Hold on to your seats.
The night is being brought to you by the region’s best cider makers Bruntys, as well as premier bus company Giant Ibis, the exquisite House Boutique hotel and the scrumptious sandwiches of Buffalo Sister.
Tickets are once again so very, very cheap at $5, and launch time is the usual Cambodian equivalent of 8:30pm.

More on Mars
Will Mars is a British Comedian living in New York and ‘Schtick Shift’ will be his first solo tour of Asia.
“What’s he done then?”, you blurt into your screen. Well, he’s been seen on BBC’s Stand Up For Comic Relief. He’s been heard on BBC Radio 4 Extra’s The Comedy Club. He was a bloody finalist in the English Comedian of the year Award 2014.
And he’s received these fine accolades: Top 50 Best Ever Jokes at the Edinburgh Fringe (Scotsman), Top 50 Funniest One-Liners Ever (Daily Mail) and Top 10 Funniest Jokes of the Edinburgh Fringe (Dave TV).
So yeah, he’s damn good.

Will’s reviews
"Punctures an expectation and implies a whole bizarre reality" The Guardian
"Flawed but fearless" The List
"Mars' pithy observations are sharp and on point" broadwaybaby.co.uk
"...likes to follow the dark thoughts of comedy... no topic is taboo... a unique and witty perspective on thoughts that many have but rarely articulate" Adelaide Advertiser
"Took the room to a new level with lines that defy you not to laugh" BBC1 Spotlight
