The country for criminals

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

The country for criminals

Post by Duncan »

The trend is changing in Australia. Where in the past crims were sent from England to Australia, now Australia is sending crims to England.

Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

If you have a fucked up childhood, your going to have a fucked up life. Don't believe that everyone can/will help you. That's a fairytale. The world is about cash. Cold, Hard, Cash.Which means of course you get a little help for a little while if your cause pulls at the heart string for 5 minutes.

I wonder what an Australian psychiatrist looks like? Crocodile Dundee?

I met a bloke a few of years ago in north london. He was british but had been living in OZ for about 30 years. He had his own house a family and was never in trouble. He was working in Texas on a short carpentary contract and got nicked for a bag of weed.
After he finished his 3 year sentance they sent him back to england as he had never taken austrailian residency and only had a british passport. He knew nobody in London and was staying in a ex offenders hostel. Poor fucker was in a right state.

wow, when you say a bag of weed, was it a few gram or halh a kilo. 3 years is a hefty penalty for weed. Do you recall what year this was?

Things change, I got 6 months in a detention centre in 1969 for 4 tabs of LSD. In those days it was called a "short, sharp shock and it was. North Sea Camp was a place near Boston,,it is now a young offenders prison. We had to march everwhere, work in the fields all, day, do lots of gym training, bed at 8pm, no talking at mealtimes. I never got bashed up but a few lippy blokes did. It didn,t work because when i got out i stopped of in Cambridge on my way home and got some SKF blues (amphetamine pills) I just made sure i never got captured again.

An Australian resident does like lose his Australian residency for being convicted for ganga possession in Texas. That's ridiculous.
