Halo Trust NGO Worker in Pursat Looks For Unexploded Landmines, Finds One, And Then It Explodes
Pursat: Landmine explosion causes injuries to male staff of Halo Trust NGO, who helps demine the country.
He had serious injuries to his chest and left hand at 10:00 am on April 28, 2016 . It occurred nearby a health center, located at Ekpheap village, Tmar Da commune, Veal Veng district, Pursat province.
The victim's name was Pen Naroth, 36, a landmine NGO staff member, living in Keo Sovan village, Bonteay Dey commune, Kondeang district, Pusat province, told the authority.
He was looking for unexploded landmines, which he successfully found. Unfortunately it soon exploded.
After the incident he was sent to a hospital at Thailand.
Halo Trust was the first NGO to help Cambodia start clearing landmines in 1991.

Well you got one bit right. I assume they had a fully equipped ambulance standing by in case of such accidents. It's just a pity they had to use the back seat of a suv to load the victim into this time.
