200 Cows in Stung Trent Drop Dead Because of the Hot Weather

Post by CEOCambodiaNews »

Steng Treng: A temporary report has proclaimed that 200 cattle at Steng Treng province have died because of the extremely hot weather. The event occurred in two communes, Sre Sombo and Prek Meas, told Mr Sisurn on April 26, 2016 afternoon.

The cause of death for these cows is high temperatures, 38 C- 42 C and the drought/water shortage, added the source.

Steng Treng deputy armed forces commander has been busy trying to help the people by transporting water to the villages.

I'm guessing those cattle are all that some of those poor families had of value. Very sad for them.

Did the article say all 200 dead cattle belonged to one family? It said 2 different communes, but could affect many families for all I know. Either way, some people took a huge financial hit and that is regrettable and probably financially devastating to them.

I would feel sad for any family who lost so much, even if they were seemingly wealthy enough to own 200 head of cattle. It still represents a very unfortunate situation for those affected.
