Got a question, idea, etc that doesn't fit in anywhere else? No problem. Just a simple place to chat.

What a sad story. All the Khmers I know celebrate their birthdays every year and wouldn't be surprised to find cake and balloons waiting for them at home.

Must be a city thing. Here in our village nobody celebrates birthdays, but at the same time almost everyone knows the birthday song.

7years ago just had my second dengue fever infection and slowly feeling better.
So everyday i went to a french Bistro near independence monument and ordered a big steak.
After 2 month in europe, back in the bistro the waiter shouted to me " Hello Sir you looking Good now,you are so FAT now.
The place was packed with people.

I looked at an apartment in Riverside area last week. When I got up to the E2 stair landing, there was a security guard and teenage boy crouched down and furiously flicking away at a lighter. Doesn't instil much confidence.

The apartment was great but that building was a filthy dump. If that shit was happening at 10am I would hate to see what it's like at night.

Haha, my friend who lived in Vietnam often spoke of the locals' lack of filter.

My Khmer friend last week messaged me "I celebrated my daughter's (1st) birthday but I wanted to invite you but I don't have good place for you" - then sent me a pic of 15 people who did make the cut. lol
