Three foreigners wanted for burglary
23 March 2017

Police are seeking the whereabouts of three foreigners, suspected to be Nigerian nationals, who are wanted on suspicion of stealing more than $30,000 from a jewelry vendor in Phnom Penh’s Sen Sok district on Tuesday night.

District penal police officer Kong Buntha said that on Tuesday at about 11:30pm, three Nigerian men parked a Toyota Camry in front of 35-year-old Meng Vanly’s villa in Teuk Thla commune while she and her family were away from home.

“Two of the foreign suspects climbed the victim’s fence and proceeded to enter the house while another suspect was sitting inside the car to watch for police,” he told Khmer Times yesterday.
“They destroyed the doors and windows and stole many valuables in the house before fleeing in the car at about midnight.”

Mr. Buntha added that Ms. Vanly said the suspects stole money and jewelry worth more than $30,000.

District police chief Colonel Mak Hong said police have yet to identify the suspects.
“Police are working hard to seek their identities in order to bring them to justice,” he said.

Please:
1. You reported it was a night robbery, do you have CCTV evidence to show they are Nigerians?
2. Did you see their passport to prove that they are Nigerians?
3. Did you verify with the Ministry of Transport to know the owner of the car used?
4. Even if they are black men, how did you know they are from Nigerians?
5. Every black man in Cambodia is a Nigerian!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
6. What and how did confirm they are Nigerians?
Please i (We) need proof from the police (District penal police officer Kong Buntha) or relevant authority to verify and proof that they are Nigerians before publishing a story.

Did you actually verify the authenticity of this story before publishing because we are already in communication with Khmer times where you culled it from?

From the OP: "suspected to be Nigerian nationals"

The report (from Khmer Times) doesn't say 'they are Nigerians'. So there is nothing to prove.

You'll need to check with Kong Buntha for further details as he was the one who said "three Nigerian men parked a Toyota Camry".

Only met Kenyans once or twice. Met plenty of Nigerians trying to pass themselves off as Kenyans but as I grew up in Kenya, that did not work too well.
