Elephant Killed Near Cardamom National Park After Getting Electrocuted By Touching Power Pole
PHNOM PENH, Cambodia (AP) - A park ranger in Cambodia says an endangered wild elephant has died after an electrical pole fell and electrocuted the animal.
Nup Thet, a ranger at Wildlife Alliance, said the 3-ton elephant was electrocuted late Tuesday in the jungle near Cardamom National Park.
Cambodia is home to some 450 wild elephants. Suwanna Gauntlet, chief executive officer of Wildlife Alliance, said about 200 of them live in Cardamom National Park.

Wow... What are the odds. I guess the pole fell over and stayed that way for a few days and then the elephant walked over it or something.

I bet it was rubbing it's big far ass on the pole, thats why it fell and got electrocuted . Typical of Cambodia ,,, No warning signs .
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

The elephant was using the pole to scratch himself and pushed the pole over causing over head wires to fall on him.( Wife translated off TV news.)

There's a good job for someone. Putting up signs around the Cardamoms to tell elephants where not to scratch their arses!
