working in Australia

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

working in Australia

Post by frank lee bent »

Well my house hold goods are on the truck for Sihanoukville on Thursday and I fly to Melbourne Friday.
My first gig is in Lightning Ridge the following weekend, where I am an old hand refining operations of a web site I built a few months ago.

I have found it too difficult to rely on work I can get here, with the first quarter of the year providing the bulk of my income- from Australia.

So I will be away for a few months- at least - hopefully enjoying the high salaries of Oz.

And make sure you pay your taxes. Don't want the OZ government to have an excuse to say they don't have any money to pay us old age pensioners.

Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Thanks! Ima work towards getting a stealthy camper van suitable for city parking so I can try and score short contracts on the east coast.

Was wondering why you were selling a bunch of household appliances on FB the other day. Best of luck over there, make bank so you can come back soon.
