Popeye: For the right price I have the Phantom Shop Repair manual on CD and in English. No shops in Cambodia have this except RideFree in Sihanoukville that I traded some chroming work for a manual. The one you can get off the internet is the "owners" manual. BTW I just finished my 223cc Super/Monster Phantom project. (year and a half project.)

nice bike, how much did you spend to mod ur bike? why not mod a bigger bike?

I spent a lot of $$$, but it was a labor of love and kept me out of the bars.
"Why not mod a bigger bike" or why not mod a Harley? I got that a lot, but why do something I've done before and everyone else has done.(That's like doing the same taxi-girl night after night, it just gets boring) Doing something over and over just becomes work. As far as I can find, no one has ever taken a Phantom to this level, so I like being first. I was just going to go with all stock and a high performance cam, but I could find no one who made a hot cam. I did find though that the Honda CRF230F is almost the same engine and uses a lot of the same parts. There are companies like BBR Motorsport and CRFs Only that make all sorts of high performance parts for the CRF230f. I also got a lot of my OEM parts from Yos at Faddybike in Bangkok (great source) and Bike Bandit in America.
It has a BBR Performance cam, BBR high performance valve springs, BBR Rev Box CDI, BBR hot coil, new head that's ported, polished, relieved, new transmission, Barnett clutch, Honda CRF230F-crank/rod-piston-cylinder-cam chain, all new bearings/seals, CR Saddlebags-Duel Exhaust-hard bags-crash bar-foot pads, skull n' bones mirrors-taillight-license plate holder, chromed/flamed tank with 10 coats of clear, K&N air filter, windshield, all new brake systems, Big Bad Max air horn, custom air deflectors, 13K tachometer.
Even though the roads here suck, I opted for cruiser style add-ons like driving lights, crash bar, driving foot pegs, foot boards, air-horn, etc. I even took the seat to Singapore to have it redone when I went there to get Mexican spices.
BTW/ In 1993/94 I took a new Harley, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand for 5 months. Not very many big bikes back then on the road.
Here's a picture of my last car project in America.(4+ year build) Turbo Rotary Kelmark (1400lb and 300+hp.) Very scary to drive. Later I had to add 150lb of lead bars up front to help keep the front end on the ground in first and second gear. A real handful to drive. (First Kelmark in the world to have a Turbo Rotary engine.)

Thanks! Actually my Phantom looked pretty good, but it was stock, I needed a project and I can't leave well enough alone. I've had it for almost 5 years. When I got it, it was suppose to have been rebuilt by a guy who has/had a shop downtown across from the stationary shop, main road Sihanoukville. Lucky I did finally take it apart as everything he touched he screwed up or faked a repair. I wouldn't let that guy touch a baby-buggy. Complete idiot. I wondered why when I went to talk to him when I bought it, he refused to talk to me. When I bought my Phantom 5 years ago it was very hard to find a bigger bike than a 125cc scooter, now they are everywhere.
Next Project? Well I've still got my 12ft fishing/sailing kayak project that I finished last year, but since shoulder surgery I can't paddle really well if no wind. I may sell it or buy a small outboard for it and build a trailer. If I sell it I'm thinking of a 12ft Alum boat with a jet ski engine in it. Sailing is nice, but so is fast.

Thanks. I need to get it out of my front room to get a better picture.(when the rains stop.) The indoor pictures I've got just don't do it justice. I've got a guy who is going to build me a small (lockable) shed to park it in and I'm waiting for his estimate. If I don't like his estimate, does anyone know a reliable builder?

buy some wood, zinc roofing and nails, if u can handle a bike and car modification, this should be no problem at all, save some money as well
