The Ta Mok bridge in Oddar Meanchey province’s Anlong Veng district was closed to traffic again yesterday morning after it was submerged by water due to increased rainfall, the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology announced on its Facebook page yesterday.

In the post, the ministry said that daily rainfall caused water levels in the Ta Mok lake to rise quickly, exceeding the 2.9-meter warning level, causing the bridge to flood...

The Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology on Monday issued a statement to alert residents about storms which could cause flooding in seven provinces – Mondulkiri, Rattanakiri, Stung Treng, Oddar Meanchey, Siem Reap, Kampong Thom and Banteay Meanchey – where it is forecasted to rain heavily until Sunday.

Heavy rain and possible flooding forecast for this weekend, so take care if you're on the road.

Floods Expected in Southwest
Wednesday, 28 September 2016
The Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology warned residents in six southwestern provinces to brace for possible floods during the final days of the Pchum Ben festival.

According to an announcement posted on the ministry’s Facebook page yesterday, heavy rain from Saturday to Monday is expected to hit Pursat, Kampong Chhnang, Kandal, Takeo and Kampot provinces.

“According to the forecast, weather conditions will see more rain in lowland and plateau areas, while the coastal areas may also see a fairly large amount of rainfall too,” read the announcement.

The announcement added that the southwest monsoon, which ends this month, is set to bring additional rainfall to the country through the Gulf of Thailand. The low pressure system, which brings with it stormy weather and strong winds, will also affect Thailand and southern Laos...

Heavy Rain, Flooding Expected Till Monday

The Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology has appealed again to residents and local authorities to be careful in the event of flooding from heavy rain expected throughout the country from today until Monday.

The ministry said yesterday that a low pressure system will cause rain across most of the Kingdom and some provinces, including Tbong Khmum, Prey Veng, Svay Rieng, Kandal, Kampong Speu and Preah Sihanouk, will face flooding.

The ministry added that heavy rain, especially in the highlands and northern lowland areas, was expected starting yesterday and even heavier rain is expected nationwide today until Monday...

Weather update: flood warnings continue in much of the country. Heavy rains expected until the end of the month at least.
The Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology warned on Saturday of potential flooding from the remnants of tropical storm Haima, which killed at least 13 people in the Philippines and battered southeast China last week.

Water Resources Minister Lim Kean Hor told the public and authorities across the country on Saturday that Haima, the 22nd typhoon to hit China this year, was expected to arrive as a low pressure system yesterday.

“From October 22 to 31, rain will continue to fall on the country with volumes rising steadily, especially in Kampong Speu, Kandal, Kampot, Takeo, Svay Rieng, Kampong Chhnang, Tbong Khmum, Kratie, Kampong Cham and Prey Veng provinces,” he said...

Lol. Good point. Since it's from HB, it's probably SV but I didn't recognise the photo so thought it must've been PP. Someone here should know. Raining in SV everyday at the moment so that makes sense. I am still housebound so haven't been out to look.
