After reading this I would add "Assuming that the whole of SEA is just a variation on Thailand" is something else you should not do. The "article" was obviously written about Thailand but the author didn't think anyone would notice if he calls it SEA. No wonder so many people come to SEA thinking that the countries are all pretty much the same and interchangeable.

At least it warns you about ice in the beer, one of SEA's true cultural shocks for westerners.
