Motorbike that are more likely to be robbed or stolen

Do you have a Cambodian trip report you want to share? Post it here, and feel free to link to your blog if it's a travel blog for Cambodia, South East Asia, or anywhere really. You can ask and answer questions about travel advice in Cambodia or just share your pictures and videos with us. Most people who live in or visit Cambodia have also checked out nearby countries like Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, and you can get to most of these countries by traveling overland, so put any travel plans, reviews or questions here. Discussions about dirt bike trails in here as well.

Recently there were a lot of fatal robberies happened throughout the country. So i think it would be good for you guy to know what kind of motorbikes that are more likely to be robbed or stolen according to what reported on the local news. So that you might consider to avoid using them or if you have one you might pay more attention or avoid using them in the late night.

Form what i read in many articles about motorbike robbery. Here are some brands that frequently appeared in the newspaper.

Clicks are popular with thieves here in Temple Town. Weirdly enough this does not apply to the black models.......

I think most of time it happened from people being lazy and didn't really take it seriously. I guess people need to be aware that they are in Cambodia.

I forgot I had my Daelim once when out drinking and left it down Seredipity Beach road overnight.
Went back the next morning and it was still there!

Same with my crappy Step. No self respecting thief will steal a Step and especially not a Daelim.

On cold days in Japan I'd often leave my Super Cub running and unlocked when I went shopping so I didn't have to cold start it. Never had one stolen..., only occasionally I'd find the bike was off and the keys were taken inside by some considerate bystander. Irritated me because then I had to choke start my bike and wait a minute before I could ride off.

Sometimes I miss home.
