22 dead, 50 injured in UK bomb blast at pop concert
At least 22 dead, 50 injured, in suspected terrorist bombing in Manchester
At least 22 people have been killed and 50 injured in what is being investigated as a suspected suicide bombing of a crowded pop concert in Manchester, the most deadly attack in Britain in a decade.
The horror unfolded at about 10.30pm on Monday at the end of a concert by the American singer Ariana Grande, whose music is popular with children and teenagers.
The attack, which took place in the foyer area of the arena, left hundreds of people fleeing in terror, with young people at the concert separated from their parents in the chaos. It left carnage inside the concert venue, with medics describing treating wounds consistent with shrapnel injury.
One witness said he could see nuts and bolts strewn on the floor of the foyer after the attack, which could suggest a nail bomb was involved...

Bombing in Manchester;;;; what is known
a tragedy
MANCHESTER, England (Reuters) - At least 22 people, including children, were killed and 59 wounded by a suicide bomber as thousands of fans streamed out of a concert by U.S. singer Ariana Grande in the English city of Manchester on Monday.
Following is a Reuters summary of what we know and do not know about the incident.
* Death toll: British police said 22 people, including children, were killed and 59 people had been treated in hospital. A total of 60 ambulances attended the incident.
Many of the fans at the concert were young people. The explosion sparked panic as thousands of people rushed for the exits, witnesses told Reuters.
* Police said they were called at 10:33 p.m. (2133 GMT) just after a man detonated explosives among fans.
"We believe, at this stage, the attack last night was conducted by one man," Manchester Chief Constable Ian Hopkins said. "The priority is to establish whether he was acting alone or as part of a network.
"The attacker, I can confirm, died at the arena. We believe the attacker was carrying an improvised explosive device which he detonated causing this atrocity."
More than 400 officers were involved in the operation overnight. Police appealed for the public to upload images and footage to assist them in their investigation.
* U.S. singer Ariana Grande had just finished the concert at the Manchester Arena, the largest indoor arena in Europe with capacity for 21,000 people, when the bomber set off his device.
Grande, 23, later said on Twitter: "broken. from the bottom of my heart, i am so so sorry. i don't have words."
* Parents hunted for missing children after the blast. Many turned to social media to seek loved ones.
"Everyone pls share this, my little sister Emma was at the Ari concert tonight in #Manchester and she isn't answering her phone, pls help me," said one message posted alongside a picture of a blonde-haired girl with flowers in her hair.
* Transport police said they believed the attack had taken place just outside the Manchester Arena near a public foyer which linked to the train station.
* Prime Minister Theresa May said authorities were working to establish the full details of what police were treating as "an appalling terrorist attack". She said her thoughts were with the victims and the families of those who have been affected.
She will hold a meeting of the government's emergency response committee.
* What about the June 8 election? Major British parties have all suspended campaigning.
* No militant group has claimed responsibility so far but Islamic State supporters celebrated on social media.
Twitter accounts affiliated to the jihadists have used hashtags referring to the blast to post celebratory messages, with some users encouraging similar attacks elsewhere.
* The blast occurred on the anniversary of the murder of soldier Lee Rigby, who was hacked to death on a London street on May 22, 2013.
Rigby's murder gained international notoriety when Michael Adebolajo was filmed by passers-by standing in the street with blood-soaked hands trying to justify the attack.

Those ghastly people in the British National Party predicted events like this and the London Underground bombings - but the Goodthinkinkful howled them down, just
as they did when the BNP told the truth about the Grooming Gangs.

Re: 22 dead, 50 injured in UK bomb blast at pop concert
So the BNP predicted there would be a bomb in Manchester? Surely everyone has been on heightened alert since Charlie Hebdo and Paris. After the Jihadists released statements saying they would conduct a bombing campaign in the "crusader" home countries? Even a stopped clock is right twice a day. Doesn't make the whole rest of their policies anything other than bullshit. They come last every election for a reason

Re: 22 dead, 50 injured in UK bomb blast at pop concert
Breaking news, that I'm sure NOBODY saw coming....!
The terrorist's name is Salman Abedi.
He is just another homegrown terrorist from a Libyan refugee family, has strong ties to Libya (reportedly just came back from Libya a couple days ago), is an active Muslim, a family friend, presumably his fellow Muslim, said he was perfectly normal, he was also know to security services, and now he's a dead Islamic extremist suicide bomber terrorist.
No twists or turns in this story. It's going to continue being the same damn story for years to come until people wake up and see the problem.
I know some will think of this as "ironic," but isn't Libya one of the counties on Trump's Muslim ban list of 6 countries? Hmmm...
So, people can keep thinking that ANYTHING you slap the word "RELIGION" on is instantly worthy of respect and should be allowed in modern society can keep on allowing our Western citizens be killed again and again.
If Hitler had slapped a little "religion" sticker on his book of ideas, would we have to respect Nazis, their beliefs and actions? I guess some would argue YES.
People need to look into the teachings of Islam and of their prophet, and be critical of it. Can anyone really say it's a religion of peace? Does it really teach Muslims to be tolerant of non-Muslims? Can you really read the whole thing and not see a strong calling to make the whole world Islamic and behave under Sharia Law?
It's brutal stuff, and while most Westerners would realise we represent the complete opposite in everything in their, most of the West still things we should accept the ideas simply because it's labeled a "RELIGION."
Of course these Islamic terrorists find justification for murdering people in the teachings of Islam. The modern, Western world couldn't be more against the teachings of Islam if we tried.
And sure, you'll have people who call themselves Muslims tell you how, "Islam is the religion of peace, we respect women, we are supposed to be tolerant of others, etc.." But that just shows they're not "stupid" and know what they should say. And luckily most just don't care enough about it. Probably don't even get down and pray 5 times a day like they're clearly supposed to.
Again, take the "religion" sticker of it and look at their teachings critically. Is there anything good in there (besides the typical 99% fluff that's in all religions which are just common sense to even atheists)?
I know some will yell BIGOT, but I just wish people would be more critical of the teachings of Islam, and I feel if people read it a bit, it might at least explain why Islamic State is growing so rapidly and how these people that their friends and family call "normal" and "non-violent" end up deciding that taking a bomb to a concert where there are families with children and killing 22 people that Westerners call "innocent" is all fair play in their holy war.
And even if you don't believe anything from any of the main religions, is Islam sharing a message that helps make the world a better place for us, our children and generations to come?
Ok, I need my morning coffee, LoL. And now for a funny read:
