That's what I meant. Wouldn't you have to be either seriously psycho, or in fear of your life, to do something like that ? Maybe it's a Brit thing, but seems OTT to bottle someone unless you are really in danger. Just losing your handbag on the beach is annoying, but not dangerous.

A bottle is a deadly weapon. So stupid, when a round of fisticuffs would sort everyone out with a few bruises or whatever.

Another one for the bottles vs cans argument: never heard of anyone being beaten to death by an empty can of Anchor. :beer1:

Well cool boxing guy, in the US they stopped using tin decades ago, all are aluminum now. Plus I can't imagine how long it would take to fashion a weapon from a can during a fight. For the sake on convenience make mine glass.

yup day + night all Pint "glasses" and Bottles are made out of a plastic material in England now, has been for years now, good move in the safety sense but horrible to drink out of

this was back in 2009

Pubs warn over plastic pints plan

Plans to replace the traditional pint glass with one made of shatter-proof plastic will not be accepted by drinkers, the pub industry has warned.
The Home Office has commissioned a new design, in an attempt to stop glasses being used as weapons.
Official figures show 5,500 people are attacked with glasses and bottles every year in England and Wales.

Looks like your version of events was good JL. Now the only question is how much responsibility the woman has in the assault. Sad and stupid - a very bad night.

Bali police officer death: British man and Australian woman face murder charges
Sara Connor and David Taylor could be tried as early as next month over death of man on beach in August

Taylor’s lawyer previously said his client had confessed to a violent confrontation with the police officer Wayan Sudarsa, whose bloodied body was found on Kuta beach on 17 August.

Haposan Sihombing said Taylor, a DJ, had smashed the officer with the victim’s binoculars, a beer bottle and a mobile phone. The policeman stopped moving following the waterside fight, he added. Police said they found 42 wounds on Sudarsa’s corpse.

“Our client feels sorry for that incident. He admitted it,” Sihombing said, days after Taylor was arrested.

The fight started because Taylor suspected the officer of having taken Connor’s handbag, which contained A$300 (£184), his lawyer said. Connor’s legal team said the woman was not involved in the killing, but was at the scene...

This fucking Aussie shiela is trying to get out of this murder, now on the reenactment that they had on the beach, she is sitting on top of the cops upper back and hitting him with a ( hard to make out what ) now also in that position the cop bites her on the thigh, so that proves she was on top of him also. So she is just a guilty as the pommie bloke. When they are both charged and sent to Kerraboken jail, the gaurds there will sort them out. Hope they get what they deserve. C***s !!!
