ID wristbands, curfews for tourists

Thailand is Cambodia's neighbor to the West, and this forum is dedicated to Thai news, stories, reviews, blogs, videos, Thai people and anything else related to the country. A lot of expats have both lived and worked in Cambodia and Thailand, and this area is a place to discuss all aspects of life in Thailand and what's going on there. Most topics are about Bangkok and Pattaya because of their larger populations of expatriates and tourists in those cities, but this is for all things Thai.

I think what dopey meant was TOE TAGS for tourists. To make the job easier for them. Perhaps lock em in their room after midnight. Or just have some official go room to room shaking them down for their every last baht. THEN locking them in.

I think maybe tourism in Thailand is on a fast slide downward. Can't go a week without deaths by "suicide", rape/robberies, an so on and everytime the same outcome, keystone cops "investigation" turns up nothing.

Locking them in the room will kill a lot more. Overuse of pesticides has croaked at least a dozen that I've read about. Of course the cause of death is always a mystery, the victims are blamed (drug use etc), the autopsies are fucked up, and then a couple years later labs in the victim's home counties come up with the culprit.

The wristbands should be different colours to reflect the wearers income to make it easier to differentiate between the good quality and the low quality tourists.

Market and Street vendors would then have an easier job quoting prices for goods and services!!!!

She added that a "buddy system", pairing tourists with a local minder at tourist destinations, was also being discussed.
Sorted. The sex tourists choose their own "local minder" every night. It's a well-paying job, being a minder is.

Given Thailand's history, wouldn't they be better off giving them arm bands?

You do not have to be a brain surgeon to figure out where all this is headed. Thailand is no longer attractive or even an option for me. I will protest with my feet. Any country which turns it military against it's own people. Amounts to criminal act as far as I am concerned. And should be brought to justice and literally hung out to dry. I feel sad for my Thai friends who struggle from the financially cost of this insanity. Along with the loss of their democracy and freedom.
