Why do so many people "jump" in Thailand ?
Yet another tragic case has been reported of a foreigner jumping to his death in Thailand. RIP.
Other recent reports from Thailand include people who have jumped from multi-story carparks, shopping malls, condos, hotels, and also the airport.
And presumably, it is not only foreigners :
Irishman ‘critically wounded’ in BKK airport plunge passes away
March 30, 2017
An Irish tourist was critically injured Thursday morning after falling from the fourth floor at Suvarnabhumi Airport, police said, describing the plunge as intentional. An updated report from a radio has confirmed that he has sadly passed away.
The 32-year-old man took an escalator to the fourth floor of the airport’s departure hall before jumping over the railing onto the ground below, according to Monthian Baothong, chief of the airport police station. The incident reportedly took place at 6:35am.
The airport has been the scene of many suicides since it opened in 2006.
There were so many in 2013 that Airports of Thailand announced it would spend 30 million baht to erect glass barriers to deter jumpers.

Here's another one. A naked jumper, Pattaya Walking Street, bound to be nothing suspicious about it. Another crazy, suicidal or reckless, free climbing farang plummets to their death.

British tourist dies in Thailand, Foreign Office confirms
15 April 2017
A British tourist has died in Pattaya, a coastal city, in Thailand, the Foreign Office has confirmed.
The man is believed to be 31-year-old Christopher Andrew Laidler.
Local media reported that he fell naked from a guesthouse balcony in Walking Street in south Pattaya, early on Friday morning.
It is understood that emergency treatment was carried out at the scene and the man was taken to hospital, but later pronounced dead.
Police said there were no signs of a struggle, and the man's belongings remained untouched, according to local reports.
A Foreign Office spokeswoman said: "We are providing assistance to the family of a British national who has sadly died in Thailand."
Pattaya is a popular resort destination on the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand, known for its clubs and bars.

Brit commits suicide, jumping from seventh floor of Bangkok hotel restaurant
6 June 2017
A 67 year old British man has committed suicide after ordering a final drink from the bar of a Sukhumvit hotel restaurant before jumping from the balcony last night.
The shocking part was the coolness he showed, not attracting any attention to himself what so ever. He causally walked to the balcony, set up a chair, climbed up and jumped, before anyone had time to react.
Witnesses said Mr B. had casually ordered a drink at the restaurant on the seventh floor of the hotel in Klong Toei Nua, Wattana district.
Then he had quietly gone round the corner out of sight and put his chair by the railing...

A Chinese tourist in Phuket who goes swimming is living almost as dangerously as a European expat in Pattaya with a balcony condo. The Chinese are only slightly better at swimming than the Europeans are at flying.
You could be next.
