(RIP) King Bhumibol Adulyadej - Rama IX (5 December 1927 - 13 October 2016)
Rumours abound regarding speculation that HM Bhumbipol may have passed on.
Nothing seems to be in the press as yet.
There is supposedly a press conference scheduled for 8 PM this evening.
I called my contact in Thailand and asked for any update, and was told that what I had heard so far is pretty much the talk on the street but nothing official yet.
However, a contact at the Palace did confirm that the 4 children (of H.M.) had been ordered to get to the hospital asap. This would suggest that something is in the works.
To add further to the confusion, it seems that HM the Queen is also in hospital, so they are not sure if the news will be about The King or The Queen.

Re: Thai King Rumours
The rumors have hit the press that the end is near. Here is one article pointing in that direction. I could find no recent info on the Queen's health.

Worst tragedy to hit the family since this bro shot the other bro about 60 years ago.

Re: Thai King Rumours
well written,
wllly rumors again;;;;;;;
this will not go down smoothly and look for the south to take this time to "try" and pull away with Malaysia's support....In 1972, King Adulyadej conferred the title ‘Somdech Phra Borama Orasadhiraj Chao Fah Maha Vajiralongkorn Sayam Makutrajakuman’ on Prince Vajiralongkorn, designating him the Crown Prince and Heir to the throne.
wllly rumors again;;;;;;;

not like they are going to keep him on ice like osama and dump him over the side of a ship.

The time has come, the walrus said, to speak of many things; of ships and shoes and sealing wax, of cabbages and the Thai king...Username Taken wrote:...There is supposedly a press conference scheduled for 8 PM this evening...
