The speed! 4g is extremely fast especially when downloading stuff.Sraomcheung Ayng wrote:Why did you switch? I read your posts about Smart's 4G, and you seemed to be happy with it, other than lack of coverage in some provinces.

As I said they have some sites that are 4G however maybe they are still testing and it hasn't gone live yet.Jacobincambodia wrote:Metfone has rolled out 4g? They are in the process of rolling out another 150 to give more coverage, in Phnom Penh only at the moment.
I thought I saw an advertisement somewhere about it. I will try and find it.

Ok, I saw ads around town as well. I asked them about it because I was in there singing up for fiber. It will be interesting to have a 4g competitor in town.kiwiincambodia wrote:As I said they have some sites that are 4G however maybe they are still testing and it hasn't gone live yet.Jacobincambodia wrote:Metfone has rolled out 4g? There's been one (although a very new player starting pretty much from scratch) for a few months already.Jacobincambodia wrote:Ok, I saw ads around town as well. Anyone find Smart 4G reliable for voice calls? I did notice it drop from 4G to 3G for an incoming call but most of the time if set to LTE only i can't make or receive calls

Oh yeah, I've driven by this place before. What the heck is volte? I know LTE. I wonder if this is just a fancy way to say it?Rama wrote:There's been one (although a very new player starting pretty much from scratch) for a few months already.Jacobincambodia wrote:Ok, I saw ads around town as well. Voice doesn't occur over 4g. You would probably notice that 3g disappears too.djones wrote:Anyone find Smart 4G reliable for voice calls? I did notice it drop from 4G to 3G for an incoming call but most of the time if set to LTE only i can't make or receive calls

Re: Metfone 4G?
Volte is voice over LTE or 4G. The only problem with seatell is I think they use CDMA technology. Meaning no SIM card and you need to purchase the phone from them.

Re: Metfone 4G?
Well, Metfone finally finished their work and I have a pretty fast connection. So far it's been very steady d consistently fast. Here is a screenshot of my speed test. I have the 12mb package for 40/month. I did the test via HK to give u a real world speed test.
