Re: Thinking of moving to Cambodia
There's not much writing work to be had in Cambodia but you can freelance online - and thus work for anyone, anywhere and there's plenty of that available from Cambodia. As others have said; you shouldn't have too much trouble landing English teaching work (though it won't pay that much). Health car...

Re: Sihanoukville Vs Siem Reap?
Lol. There's a certain pro-Sihanoukville bias on this forum. Me, I hate beaches. Hate them. I like swimming pools but sod getting sand in everything you own and pretending that it's enjoyable. Re: WTB camera lenses
i-Qlick are the official Canon retailer here and about 25-30% more expensive than dealers using parallel imports from Singapore... if you want a full international warranty, they're the best choice but if you don't, the camera shops on Monivong will be cheaper and the lenses just as good.

Re: Owning a business / work permits in Cambodia
The law is clear that if you own a business here that you aren't considered to be working and thus don't need a work permit. I am enjoying the ridiculous interpretations of the law to squeeze extra cash out of people but you don't need a work permit. Though many people will be happy to sell you one.
