Re: Two Teens Fighting Found in Possession of Firearm
Yeah, my first thought was that the rounds look fake or something. A quick search reveals similar rounds for the Webley, but again, these don't even seem to have a brass casing of any sort. Bizarre.

Re: First Cambodia-made E-bike To Launch In September
And out of all the two stroke cycles dirt bikes always seem to be the loudest! Performance bikes are usually loud... Two strokes are actually quieter than four strokes in many ways. Higher frequency, but the sound doesn't travel as much. I like the idea of electric dirt bikes, but we're still very ...

Re: Chinese Investors Eye Up Mondulkiri Coffee Potential
Exactly. I somehow doubt Chinese investors are going to put in the time and effort to produce some high quality arabica single origin specialty coffee. Mass is their name, and volume is their game.DankSinatra wrote:Probably Robusta to sell to Nestle in Vietnam.

Yeah, that's pretty hilarious given all the mountains of counterfeit stuff everywhere else.

Re: car prices
Cars are typically 2x the price when new and anywhere from 2-4x used compared to most western markets. Pick-ups a bit less as mentioned. It is what it is.

Re: Dirt bike rentals in PP
I was not talking about off-road routes, just normal conditions of roads in general, good condition don't last long here when tarmac is involved  True! I mean they lay new roads every few few months, but many turn to crap after 1-3 rainy seasons, making you wonder why they didn't keep the...

Re: Dirt bike rentals in PP
There's adventure and then there's adventure with a broke-down bike in the middle of nowhere. The last time I rented bikes from Angkor was a nightmare because of poorly maintained and just plain worn-out bikes. Two friends and myself were in the middle of the Cardamoms when one of the bikes broke. ...

Re: Dirt bike rentals in PP
I rented 250s from Angkor starting 2002 and I'm pretty sure they've still got many of the same bikes now as they had back then. The last two times I rented there, I had big problems with the bikes in the worst of places. Avoid them at all cost. Post Covid, I really couldn't tell you who has good of...

You can also compare with Dara motorcycles who isn't too far from Angkor. He's got a few WRs and other bikes. Dancing Roads also still have some bikes I think, but not sure if it's part of a tour package or not. They used to have newer huskies (15+). COVID put a big dent in a lot of these businesses...

Re: Dirt bike rentals in PP
What kind of bikes? XRs are available for cheap at Angkor Bikes on 51 for pretty cheap ($12-15/day I think). Or are you looking for WRs/something more modern? Other places have more modern bikes, but you're looking at $30+/day and not necessarily more reliable. Also, no one uses emails here, so you'...
