Re: Favorite areas of Phnom Penh for living?

Haha Frank, I've been traveling constantly since May and I still do what I can to get my veggies for the day. Having a real kitchen and maybe a grocery store will help. I did find a $4 salad at Pepper Tree that wasn't terrible. I probably wouldn't want a quiet area anyway though. My last home was Th...

Re: Favorite areas of Phnom Penh for living?

Really so is it more expensive than Riverside? I'm not against eating at Khmer places but it would be nice to have western salads under $5. What's the advantage of BKK1 then - just a better selection of properties?

Favorite areas of Phnom Penh for living?

Ok I'm going to take a stab at living in the Penh for a bit. The only areas I know are the usual Riverside streets and St 51 to a lesser extent. I'm looking for a nice furnished apartment w/ kitchen at a monthly rate in a decent neighborhood - cafes, restaurants, gym etc. My "ladyfriends" ...

Re: New in Sihanoukville - a few questions

I walk by Missing Monkey all the time. It's a interesting street but I still feel like I'm better off closer to the beach since I lack moto skills - easy access to 24 hr food, plus massages and girlie bars. If I decide to settle here long-term then the residential area would be something to consider...

Re: New in Sihanoukville - a few questions

I've opted to do the monthly rate at a place on Beach road for now. I figured that would be better since I don't drive a moto and am often hungry at 2 AM. The down side is I can't cook and even the cheap meals start to add up after awhile. I walk to Golden Lions gym often and can see the appeal of t...

Re: OTC narcotic pain medication

I asked U-care and De La Gare for hydrocodone and neither had it.

U-care gave me what I guess was Dihydrocodeine but I wouldn't recommend it. I found it to be pretty nauseating.

New in Sihanoukville - a few questions

Can anyone suggest a decent monthly guesthouse in the Golden Lions/Beach Rd area? The prices I've heard mentioned are around $150 for a small room, but I wouldn't mind paying a little extra for a nicer room, within reason. Any other places or things I should check out for daily entertainment? I saw ...

Re: khmer VS thai girls

I still had more fun in the Play Penh. All my dirty requests were honored at a better price, (usually) with a better attitude. There's a fairly cheap brothel within walking distance of my condo where they are "open-minded" but I can still get a better quality chick in PP who's had less mil...

Re: khmer VS thai girls

Local girls have an eye for the Main Chance. Therein lies the substantial difference. Thai taxi girls fuck better and are more unprincipled by virtue of their much higher mileage. It just depends on one's aims as to purpose and outcome. I've been dating in Bangkok for the last 8 months or so. The m...
