Re: Alcohol Sales Banned/No dining-in - PP

We've had this in Luzon, Philippines for the last 4 weeks. Had it last year about this time too. It made no difference then and it won't now! Figures are just going up and down depending on how many they test. They are now testing with Antigen kits so the increased figures not so accurate! It was in...

Re: Hard Drive - USB - to Smart TV

I'd just go for adding a powered hub. Cable from HDD in, fixed lead from hub into TV. I had the same noise when connecting media player HDD to old laptop. USB wasn't enough juice and the hub inline with power to it works every time!

Re: Thailand Travel Restrictions and Info

Can anyone confirm whether one can transit through BKK airport at this present time or seen anything re ease of restrictions? When I say transit, Manila -BKK, pick up flight same day. Supposed to be flying to UK 8th April. It might be irrelevant for me if the UK doesn't drop the mandatory quarantine...

Re: Overseas Bank

More and more banks are using the extra, send a text with a code to your registered number every time you log in. I've been doing transactions from my Cambodia banks whilst out of the country. Over the last year there has been several times where the bank sends a code to my Cambodia number. Always o...

Re: Crispy Aromatic Duck

Definitely do your own if you want food to enjoy! I had it on 3 occasions, SHV, PP and SR from Chinese resto cafes. Just a pile of bones with skin on!. Not enough meat to keep my cat alive! I'm sure someone could recommend a good specific place I might give it another go.

There's this on ABA banking. I never used it so far. May be worth a look!

To think I used to defend the place to anyone calling it Shitville! Had to concur in the end!
So sad to see the place I loved and lived in be systematically destroyed for greed! :x

Re: My adventure opening a bank account at Acleda

Someone mentioned ABA transfers, so I will add this . ABA do a special online transfer service to Philippines (where I'm stuck until can get back to Cambodia) Costs only $10 total and get the pesos in the bank here in one hour at exactly the live rate. I used the ATM here one time to draw $800, sent...
