why doescmy computer think I am in Vietnam?

I am in Cambodia, nowhere near the border. Yet google turns into google.vn and Amazon (or maybe it is ebay) quotes prices in dong.

Re: Suggested laundries in PNH?

Actually button holes not matching buttons were out much smaller amounts. It was the front panels that were grossly uneven. Regarding linen shrinking in the dryer - I specifically instructed the tailor to wash all the fabric *before* cutting, as is professional tailor practice.

buying gold and PGMs outside of Cambodia

Stackers of PNH! This is a separate tgread to my post on buying gold IN Southeast Asia. Please keep content separate. Also, my purpose is not to start a debate on the prudence of hard assets. Nor timing or precious metals technical analysis etc. This thread is about HOW and WHERE not *why and when*....

buying gold bullion bars abd coins in Cambodia

Vietnam and Indian powers that be (with monopoly on violence, i.e. the State) have financially penalized the purchase of gold and other 'luxuries'. They don't want to let the people decide whether they trust the fiat rupee and dong currencies. I bought a platinum weding ring in Bombay at what must h...

Re: Sweden banning paid sex abroad

Will spies from the Feceral government of Sweden be following female sex tourists in Jamaica and Kenya? My take is different than my angry American friend who says 'I hope so!' I am happy for these old ladies giving 'gifts' and 'supporting' their dark-skinned gigilos. Everybody gets what they want. ...

Re: Suggested laundries in PNH?

Correction about perfect tailor. Buttons don't match button holes. *Could* be because I washed - but linen doesn't shrink 2 inches! This was an unsual shirt - two different fanrics. Washing before cutting fabric is often a problem - neglected or lying about doing it. Add non colour fast fabrics, Cam...

Re: Export size men's trousers?

Seems excessive for falsely branded fabrics. $4 to $8 is more realistic for the 1,5 width bolt. Perhaps I misunderstood and she meant $8->$12 with tailoring. This is at a tailor shop that has fabric on hand. Close shop did a perfect job on copying a Hawaiian shirt for $5 (I supplied fabric). Maybe ...

Didn't you give up on seamstresses the other day? How are you going with vegetable sellers?
Seamstresses going OK, veggie sellers OK. Cook perfect.

But fabric sellers and laundresses problematic

Re: Suggested laundries in PNH?

BTW, I am not just a fussy old bachelor (though this is true too) - I Had a specific medical need (scabies) which requires a laundry protocol of three steps... 1. Boil garments in water (how many seconds or minutes I don't know, but it's not just get some sort of warm water and dunk them once) 2. Wa...
