Re: Sihanoukville cops get greedy: $500 fine for foreigner.

They have been doing random drug searches on traffic stops, for at least 2 years now. As to the licence issue - lets face it, it's as up in the air as the work permit and the new visa issues. If you know anything about insurance companies, then as I said - make sure EVERY i is dotted and EVERY T is...

Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: Sihanoukville cops get greedy: $500 fine for foreigner.

I've heard of the police asking $500 if they find drugs but not for no licence. Not saying that is what happened here but it's not like either party would advertise the fact. Yeah I have account.

I want one you can't access by card.
Just go and ask them, seems the simplest solution. Most likely there's a passbook involved though unless it's some type of fixed deposit.

Re: Cambodia to grow more vegetables, reduce imports.

Precisely. How about a government funded school of agriculture that supplies free scholarships? How about The Royal University of Agriculture that opened in 1964? http://www.rua.edu.kh/ I was just the 7745th viewer of their website, not sure what to make of that! I've met farmers who have logged in...

what i saw rusting was a transplanter Well NGOs would be better to concentrate on education and social stuff IMO. While it's nice that foreign governments have helped develop the infrastructure, the line must be drawn somewhere, it allows the elite to pocket hundreds of millions of dollars (probabl...

Re: Cambodia to grow more vegetables, reduce imports.

what i saw rusting was a transplanter Well NGOs would be better to concentrate on basic education and social stuff IMO. The majority of people at NGOs don't have any 'skin in the game' ie. their own money, just gov aid or private donations (whether money or cheap equipment that the companies can't ...

Re: Cambodia to grow more vegetables, reduce imports.

A fool and his money are soon departed.
What a banter the cops must have had at his expense after the ATM money collection delay.
The ensuing KTV session must have been a good one!

Re: Convert food crops to rubber, says Ministry of Agriculture.

I thought it was common knowledge that the large scale plantations were primarily setup as a means of legally logging (and illegally near the outer boundaries of the concessions) to make the easy money, providing a large cushion for the wait till the rubber flows, practically the icing on the cake a...

Re: Sihanoukville cops get greedy: $500 fine for foreigner.

Always wear a Go-Pro. The cops are scared of them. Go-Pros are for hipsters Yeah, I use DJI Mavic drones rigged to a beacon in my pocket to follow me around. Stealth is where it's at! I also had my fav coffee shop install bullet proof glass and got them to train and certify their guard so that he c...
