Re: Western NGOs are detestable liars

AM, I'm not sure if you banned ES, as he posted after your comment. But the idea of banning such an intelligent and insightful member is imo quite ridiculous. His posts are, in the main, to the point. You may not like it, but many others do. Of special interest to me, was his post about the approac...

Re: I have 5000 Cambodian riel

Make yourself a Cambodian money tree and place it on display. Other people will add more money to it, so financially this will work out better than putting it in the bank or investing in bitcoins. It is also decorative and you can use it as a Xmas tree in December. Your neighbours will be impressed ...

Re: Western NGOs are detestable liars

A nasty vile NGO has arranged for teachers to receive all the money in their paycheck, instead of being obliged to give part of their wages to corrupt bureaucrats ? That's shocking. They should be driven out of town with pitchforks. :mob: That has to be the worst argument yet against NGO work in Cam...

Re: Update on renewing visas at Department of Immigration

If you're one of the expat crew that has recently obtained an ER (retireee) visa - you are required to be older than 60, or be able to provide documentation from your own government proving your permanent retirement status. For the moment immigration officials don't seem to know anything about this...

A heavy addicted ice head. Could be Seen everyday @ GSM. Don was a smackhead. On about a year overstay, no passport, no visa. He wasn't a bad lad, just rode his luck for a bit too long. I'm pretty convinced that this was a planned suicide. Know a guy who spoke to him about a week ago and suicide wa...

Re: Pictures of More Illegal Aliens Being Deported From Cambodia; Mostly Nigerians

So, some people on Facebook are saying we shouldn't report on these stories of kind, God fearing Nigerians getting arrested and deported in Cambodia, as they are the real victims here, as the Cambodian government gets big money for human trafficking them here. Tell them to calm down and read this l...

The land under the hotel must be worth at least a million at Banlung land prices. Banlung is a "boom-town", as long as the trees last. Land prices in town are crazy-high.

For the moment they figure they can make eco-tourism co-exist with illegal logging.

Re: Foreigner sleeping on road at Banlung intersection

Back to the OP, my question is "Why is this guy lying/sleeping in the middle of the road (and not on the footpath)" ? (They also have footpaths in Banlung.) Did he get kicked out of somewhere on to the street because he was wasted, and then go to sleep where he landed ? Did he have a heart attack wh...
