Re: Drunk foreigners' fight night in Phnom Penh.
Every night is fight night in Phnom Penh.
31 March 2017, 11: 50pm.
More Koreans out on the town last night in Phnom Penh: A Khmer taxi driver was beaten up by 2 Koreans leaving Nagaworld Casino. They told him to go by one route and he took another, they weren't happy, so beat him up. That's the story so far. The 2 Korean men were arrested and taken to the police station.

I hate it when they drive the wrong way but I have never considered actually hitting a driver for it. That's a bit rude.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

The main problem is that one has to wait around for so long at Paddy Rice.
35 minutes trying to flag down a bored waiter, 20 minutes for them to understand your order of 1 water, and 25 minutes for the chef to prepare it. Around an hour later they may actually serve you. so people feel the need to entertain themselves whilst waiting.

I've always found the service there to be excellent. The girls will often ask if you want another beer as soon as you've nearly finished onevladimir wrote: ↑Sat Apr 01, 2017 5:10 pm The main problem is that one has to wait around for so long at Paddy Rice.

Re: Drunk foreigners' fight night in Phnom Penh.
And now back to the first lot of drunk Koreans, who risk prison time, but will probably just fork out a big fine and compensation for damage :
- Five South Korean businessmen were yesterday charged by the Phnom Penh Municipal Court over a fight that left one of them seriously injured and knocked unconscious.
The violence took place at the Galaxy Karaoke Club in Tonle Bassac at about 3am last Wednesday.
Sok Bunlin, the deputy chief of Chamkarmon district police, identified the five suspects as Kim Yousung, 34, Cho Wonchul, 31, Jung Sungkwon, 40, Yoon Dongsoo, 48, and Taek Jimchai, 51. They are all South Korean restaurant investors living in Cambodia.
“They were all charged with an intentional act of violence causing public disorder,” Mr. Bunlin said.
“They are facing punishment of one to three years in prison if found guilty.”
An officer with Tonle Bassac police told Khmer Times the South Korean men had been arguing with four others before they started fighting each other.
“They are investors but they were acting like gang members,” he said. “It was like something out of a Kung Fu movie.”

From what I've read on several forums, from many posters, and from my own experience there (I didn't go back) you've been fortunate.jaynewcastle wrote: ↑Sun Apr 02, 2017 12:54 amI've always found the service there to be excellent.
