That pet shop still has turkeys for sale. Two large breading pair, and a couple of half grown black and white ones , The owners were not at home at the time so could not get a price.

Moan barang. I wondered in the past if turkey farming for the barang Christmas market was a goer. There is that fishing park at Ken Svay which has dozens of them for decoration and some red deer.
Why don't Khmers eat turkey or rabbit?

Re: Turkeys !!!
some posters here pointed to me an article that says rabbits are considered illegal by law, as they are wild animal from the forest, unless you can prove that it is farmed, which i think will not be worth the effort (license wise and try to prove to the public that is farmed rabbits)willyhilly wrote:Why don't Khmers eat turkey or rabbit?

Re: Turkeys !!!
I used to wonder if it was worth farming turkeys for the Christmas of thanksgiving market. Does anyone know of the barang chicken farm operating in Siem Riep? I saw pictures somewhere, he has a big steel shed and sells eggs for $2 a half dozen I think.
