Wedding Brawl in Sihanoukville: Dude Pulls Out a Machete And Gets His Head Split Open

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Most of the weddings I have been to have been in back of beyond, KC.

I guess if the cops were there they were out of uniform and on the piss.

Last two I got roped into I was put in charge of the money bowl. Fine by me, long as the beer keeps coming! :beer1:

I avoid weddings when at all possible, but I have never seen any police presence at any of the ones I have attended, except for when they show up for some cash, food and beer briefly.
police are usually only present at the ones on the street that are blocking/part blocking the road i think
No, I have been to weddings in the middle of nowhere and the family had rented cops. No wonder, seeing how often the shit hits the fan once the rice wine has left its mark.

That's strange, all I've been to and all the ones in the province I've seen had police. Maybe they are rent-o-cops but strange most I've been to have them.
