What can't you get hold of in Cambodia that you wish you could???

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

What makes you think there are chemicals in the beer? Apart from Ganzberg that is.
The taste? I would assume that Angkor has three prominent chemicals, whilst Anchor has only two. It's as if you drink them so quickly that you don't leave them enough time to get warm and flavorsome.

Street food and beer are not two of Cambodia's strong points.

What do you ''assume '' these chemicals are ?
Cheap?
Cheap bittering agents perhaps? Maybe add some alcohol to save brewing time, so they can get another batch in the tank? I just know that I don't drink the beer because it tastes funny. :dm:
I wish San Miguel was more popular.

I drink becks back home and other assorted german beer stricly because of the purity law mostly because i cannot afford to have a horrid chemical beer hangover the next day due to the intenseness of my profession.
But Since i came out here i resorted to Angkor , cheers , ganzberg, palm wine, siam sato, loa khao , loa dong, yadong and rice wine.
You save money alcohol but you pay with the hangover in cambodia and thailand.
